You can make an appointment with Janice or Alphia for one-on-one social outreach, mental health support and referrals, access a public computer, get help with technology or learn more about our programs. Our Plots are harvested and ready for winter. Registration for next season will begin in March 2023. Gardeners visit the greenhouse twice a week or more to tend BRIDGES' plots. Register with Alphia to participate in the Spring-to-Fall 2022 season!

Part of our Peer Supports program, it's always Coffee Time at BRIDGES. Come and meet new people and old friends for coffee and conversation in a safe and caring environment with physical distancing. Reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and support each other with open conversations and acceptance. Feeling shy? That's okay, we respect your personal space, all are welcome.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are Hot Lunch Days at BRIDGES. This program offers social meals for those living with food scarcity as well as people who want to share a family meal experience, for relief of isolation and loneliness often experienced by retired and senior people, newcomers and people living with physical or mental illness. Seating is still limited at 15.

MHCC launches online MHFA for those who live and work with youths aged 12 - 24

Participants will learn how to:

  • recognize signs that a young person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health or substance use crisis
  • initiate conversations that encourage a young person to talk about a mental health or substance use problem
  • discuss professional and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being
  • assist in a mental health or substance use crisis situation
  • check in with one’s own mental well-being and take action as needed

The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta's Family & Caregiver Support group exists to provide you with a hopeful, safe and supportive environment to discuss your thoughts and feelings, learn coping methods, and be empowered with knowledge about schizophrenia. 

Hinton's Support Group meets the first Monday of each month on ZOOM to talk through important issues, hear from educational speakers, and just connect and support one another.
